The start of summer

We have almost closed the chapter on the Spring semester. There are still a few questions about grades. I am always so surprised when a student queries why he or she did not get an A after I have assigned a B after curving the grades from a C. It must be a reflection of grade inflation that many believe that below average work still deserves an above average grade.
